We are a dedicated workshop in the heart of the Surrey Hills, with over 20 years experience in the bike trade. We pride ourselves on the repeat business we have through the door. We can also supply a courtesy bike during your service, see below for more details.

COVID-19 Policy

We are implementing additional safeguards to mitigate the risk to our customers and staff; these include:

  • Restricted entry to the workshop – please follow the guidance on the signs
  • Minimum 2m distance between staff & clients to be maintained at all times
  • Bicycles for service / repair MUST BE booked in and time of arrival confirmed in advance
  • Electronic & contactless payments advised

Our Service Packages

Our workshop is equipped to repair or service any bike related issue you may have. If you would like a quote on specific work, get in touch by phone or use the booking form.

* Parts are extra for all services.

The workshop is very busy; services can typically take between 2-5 days subject to parts availability. We will notify you of an expected completion time once we have assessed your bike, please make sure we have your mobile number and email when making your booking.

Bronze Service *

General check up to cover the basics

  • A Bronze service is a check over the bike, we torque up your bolts, adjust gears, adjust brakes and make any suggestions on parts that may need replacing.

Gold Service *

£150 for Hardtails, £200 for Full Suspension

  • Silver service PLUS: Frame is stripped down to frame only. Everything degreased, replace wheel bearings, replace frame bearings, brakes bled, dropper bled, new cables on gears.

For regular cyclists, every 6 - 9 months

  • Bronze service PLUS: we remove your groupset and degrease the components and tru front and rear wheels.

Courtesy Bikes

We offer full suspension Santa Cruz bikes that you can hire from us whilst your bike is in for repair! If you bought a bike from our shop down the road – Pedal & Spoke – then this service is free!

Please let us know your size and we can check availability upon arrival as we have limited stock.

Owner Howard Wagstaff, has been in the bike business for over a decade and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the cycling industry. He has built up his bike shop business – Pedal & Spoke – to become the NUMBER ONE Santa Cruz dealer in the UK for the third year running. You can also visit sister company, Surrey Hills Bike Rental to rent a Santa Cruz bike for the day in the glorious Surrey Hills.

The workshop team at Spanner & Spoke are all highly experienced, so you can be sure your pride and joy is in safe hands. We offer a variety of specialist work that includes custom frame and bike building, custom wheel building as well as professional advice on setting up your bike.
